At the January 28, 2026, Utah Historical Society Annual Awards Ceremony, Driven 2 Teach, a program sponsored by the Larry H. Miller Company and Zions Bank, received the Outstanding Achievement Award.

This award recognizes exceptional or long-term service and achievement in history and related fields. Founded in 2007 by Larry H. Miller, Driven 2 Teach was created with a vision to provide Utah educators with hands-on experiences and immersive seminars that elevate and enhance the teaching of history. This year, the program was recognized for the lasting impact of that vision.

For nearly two decades, Driven 2 Teach has taken hundreds of teachers on week-long educational excursions across the United States, from the East Coast to study America’s Founding Figures, to the South to explore the Civil Rights Movement, and most recently across Utah to learn more about the people and places that have shaped the state. These experiences foster meaningful connections with historic sites, empowering educators to bring history to life in their classrooms.
