The 4th Annual Larry H. Miller Summit brought together leaders and employees from across the Larry H. Miller Company’s businesses and platforms for two days of learning and collaboration from October 1-3 at the Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah.
This year’s theme, “Be A Builder,” served as our guide as we focused on strengthening brands, elevating the customer experience and deepening community partnerships.
Philanthropy Session
The Philanthropy Session spotlighted how businesses and philanthropic organizations can collaborate to create meaningful impact throughout Utah.
Meg Whitman, former U.S. Ambassador to Kenya and the CEO of Hewlett-Packard and eBay, delivered the keynote address on leadership and social change.
Larry H. Miller Company co-founder, Gail Miller, along with Amanda Covington, chief corporate affairs officer, and Courtney Hawks, program officer, participated in a fireside chat that highlighted the lessons Gail learned from decades of giving and the “virtuous cycle” that exists between business and philanthropy.
The Philanthropy Session also featured the announcement of the Gail Miller Utah Impact Fund, which will combine philanthropic donations with investment capital to help fund social impact projects across the state.
Leadership Development Session

Executives of Swig, Miller Sports + Entertainment, and Larry H. Miller Senior Health also showcased examples of “unreasonable hospitality” in their respective industries.

Attendees put this year’s Summit theme into action with a hands-on service project with Wasatch Adaptive Sports, where teams built adaptive bikes and ski rigs to increase access to outdoor recreation for individuals with disabilities.
One of the most beloved aspects of the Larry H. Miller Summit event is surprising an outstanding employee with the Larry H. Miller Leadership Excellence Award. Andy Frasure, an original founder of Advanced Health Care and the COO of Larry H. Miller Senior Health, was this year’s recipient.
“Our theme for this year’s Summit was ‘Be a Builder.’” I love that phrase, because to me, that’s what leadership is.”
-Steve Miller, Chairman of the Board at the Larry H. Miller Company
