Colorado Springs Automotive Technician Wins International Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Local Colorado Springs automotive technician Steve Travis has been named to the Toyota 2014 Assembly of Champions, the only technician in the United States to receive this honor. Travis, an employee of  Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota, will represent the U.S. at the Toyota International Service Champions’ Assembly in Nagoya, Japan in October 2015 where he will have the opportunity to learn about Toyota’s history firsthand, as well as brush up on advanced technologies.

The 2014 Assembly of Champions recognizes the top assistant service manager, technician, parts professional and collision repair technician in several countries. Travis was selected based on the following criteria:

·       Dealership must achieve Service Management Excellence

·       Individual must obtain Technician Excellence

·       Individual must have Master Diagnostic status for 2014 and have Master Diagnostic Technician Qualification Test

Travis has worked at Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota for 27 years. He spent an additional 10 years at the store prior to Larry H. Miller acquiring the dealership in 1988.
