Fifth Annual Larry H. Miller Drive for Good Benefits Four Local Charities With $20,000

SPOKANE – Larry H. Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane (LHM Downtown Toyota) and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., announce the kickoff of the 2016 Larry H. Miller Drive for Good, an annual program that recognizes local nonprofit organizations in Spokane and the important role they play in serving the community. Members of the public may visit facebook.com/LHMToyotaSpokane now through March 16 and vote for their favorite local nonprofit.

“Our goal is to provide support to those organizations that provide support to the residents of our community when they need it most,” said Scott Brewer, general manager, LHM Downtown Toyota.

The public will have the opportunity to nominate local Spokane 501(c)3-qualified nonprofit organizations March 7-16. Judges will select 10 charities to move on to the voting round based on eligibility and judging criteria. Members of the public will have the opportunity to vote for the charity they feel is the most deserving from March 21-31. The four charities that receive the most votes will each receive a $5,000 donation from LHM Downtown Toyota and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.

The Drive for Good was created in 2012 in an effort to give back to the community of Spokane. Since its inception, the Drive for Good has contributed to numerous nonprofits including Free Reign Therapeutic Riding, a group that provides therapeutic experiences to children and adults with disabilities through the use of adaptive riding and horsemanship programs and the ISAAC Foundation, which provides support for families with autism. In 2015, Camp Stix, Beyond Pink, Wishing Star Foundation and Safety Net each received a donation for $5,000 to use towards their organization’s mission.

LHM Downtown Toyota Spokane strongly believes in giving back in the community, and frequently supports local charities through donations, volunteer time and fundraising drives.
