Jazz to Host National Anthem Auditions on Sept. 25

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz will hold National Anthem auditions on Friday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at EnergySolutions Arena. Auditions are open to individuals and small groups (up to 8 performers) of all ages. Instrumentalists are also encouraged to try out.

The selected performers will be notified via email if they have been invited to sing the U.S. National Anthem before a 2015-16 Jazz home game. If selected, the performer must sing the same version that they performed during auditions.

The Utah Jazz require the National Anthem be sung in a cappella and in a traditional manner, with no styling or individual musical interpretation.

It is strongly recommended for singers to attend the live auditions, but a recorded CD version can be emailed to crobbins@utahjazz.com or mailed to Utah Jazz National Anthem Auditions, 301 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.

Additional information may be found online at nba.com/jazz/anthem.
