Larry H. Miller Charities Donates $25,000 to Provo School District Foundation

PROVO, Utah – Managers and employees from Larry H. Miller Ford Lincoln Mercury Provo and Megaplex Theatres at Geneva will presented a $25,000 check on behalf of Larry H. Miller Charities to the Provo School District Foundation to support their Sub-for-Santa program. The district distributes funds to schools, which then identify students and families who need assistance. In addition to supporting students/families with holiday gifts, the donation will also be used towards purchasing clothing, coats, eyeglasses, and other essential items identified by school social workers and nurses.

“We’re pleased to support the Provo School District Foundation in their efforts to ensure that students in need have the opportunity to receive gifts and other necessities this holiday season,” said Kevin Knudsen, general manager, Larry H. Miller Ford Lincoln Mercury Provo. “We are grateful that Larry H. Miller Charities provides our employees with the opportunity to give back in our local community.”

This donation is part of an overall $135,000 the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies is donating to six school districts across the state, including the Salt Lake Education Foundation, Granite Education Foundation, Ogden School Foundation, Washington County School District Foundation and the Iron County School District Foundation. Larry H. Miller Charities, the charitable arm of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, is funded largely by employee contributions, as well as business donations and donations from the general public. The organization focuses its funding on issues that affect women and children, with an emphasis on health and education.
