Larry H. Miller Dealerships Awards Grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters-Pikes Peak

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Representatives from Larry H. Miller Toyota Colorado Springs and Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota Colorado Springs presented a $10,000 check to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado-Pikes Peak at the Plaza of the Rockies. This grant will be used to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters-Pikes Peak in supporting 380 one-to-one mentoring relationships between youth and adult volunteer mentors in Colorado Springs and surrounding communities. The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters-Pikes Peak is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better. Big Brothers Big Sisters-Pikes Peak matches children ages 6-12 from low-income, single-parent households with an adult mentor and serves them up to age 18. The nonprofit also provides services geared towards children with a deployed or active duty military parent or a parent who has died as a result of combat-related duty.

Larry H. Miller Charities (LHM Charities), the charitable arm of the dealership group, contributed more than $100,000 in charitable grants in 2015 throughout Colorado.  Grant recipients utilized the funds to provide school supplies to students, help parents and families during times of need, support military veterans as they re-acclimate to civilian life, and much more.

Assistance from Larry H. Miller Charities is directed toward groups and programs based in the communities where Miller companies conduct business. Since 1996, more than $350,000 has been donated to more than 85 qualified nonprofits throughout Colorado.  Funds are generated, in large part, through LHM companies and employee contributions, as well as donations from the general public.
