Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union “Pass It Along” to Kauri Sue Hamilton School

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union today announced that Kauri Sue Hamilton School is this season’s fourth recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program featuring fan nomination opportunities that rewards five local charitable organizations with $5,000 each.

Kauri Sue Hamilton School, which provides students with disabilities an appropriate and individualized educational program, will be presented with a $5,000 donation prior to the Friday, Feb. 19 game vs. the Boston Celtics at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

“Kauri Sue Hamilton School would like to thank the Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union for recognizing us,” said Rita Bouillon, principal of Kauri Sue Hamilton School. “This donation means a great deal to our school and will help us out tremendously. The grant will go towards a new swing set for all of our students to enjoy, especially those in wheelchairs who can’t access typical playground equipment.”

In addition to the $5,000 donation, students at Kauri Sue Hamilton School received a special visit from Jazz Bear, and MACU Executive Vice President Marshall Paepke, along with tickets to Friday’s game and on-court recognition.

Fans are encouraged to nominate local charitable groups that they feel go above and beyond in giving back to the community via www.utahjazz.com/passitalong. A final winner will be announced in March, for a total of $25,000 being donated to five deserving organizations.

This season’s “Pass It Along” recipients include Neighborhood House, National Ability Center and Utah Honor Flight.
