Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union “Pass It Along” to The Bradley Center

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union today announced that The Bradley Center for Grieving Children and Families is this season’s sixth recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program featuring fan nomination opportunities that rewards local charitable organizations with $5,000 each.

The Bradley Center, which provides support for children, teens, young adults and their families following a death, will be presented with a $5,000 donation prior to the Tuesday, April 5 game vs. the San Antonio Spurs at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The photo and check presentation will take place at 5 p.m.

“The death of a family member shatters a child’s sense of security, and can lead to a lot of self-harming behaviors as a way to cope with the pain,” said Carrie Moore, executive director of The Bradley Center. “With help from Mountain America Credit

Union and the Utah Jazz, The Bradley Center will continue to help families cope successfully with their grief by providing support and fostering healthy choices so they can become stronger, more compassionate people as a result of their loss.”

In addition to the $5,000 donation, the youth at The Bradley Center received a special visit last week from Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment President Steve Starks and Mountain America Credit Union President and CEO Sterling Nielsen, along with tickets to Tuesday’s game and on-court recognition.

A total of $30,000 has been donated to local non-profits through the 2015-16 “Pass It Along” initiative. Other recipients for this season include Neighborhood House, National Ability Center, Utah Honor Flight, Kauri Sue Hamilton School and Intermountain Healing Hearts.
