Christmas Carol Sing-Along
It is our pleasure to welcome you back to our holiday sing-along as we continue this community tradition.
Welcome to the Annual Christmas Carol Sing-Along!
The Larry H. and Gail Miller Family along with the Larry H. Miller Company are excited to welcome the community to the annual free Christmas Carol Sing-Along event featuring special musical guests The Lower Lights. Yahosh Bonner of the Bonner Family returns as our guest emcee for the evening.
“This Sing-Along has been a staple in the community for nearly four decades, “Steve Miller, trustee of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation said. “It’s the perfect way for families and friends to gather, create memories and celebrate the holiday season.”
The West Valley Symphony of Utah, under the direction of Donny Gilbert, will celebrate their 11th year of providing music for the Sing-Along event. Sterling Poulson, former KUTV2 News weatherman, also returns as our guest conductor.
Santa Claus, Jazz Bear, Tusky and Bumble, along with RSL's Leo the Lion and Utah Royals FC's Cleo the Lioness will also stop by to join in on the festivities.
“There are very few events I look forward to more than the annual Sing-Along,” Gail Miller, co-founder of the Larry H. Miller Company said. “Connecting with my friends in the community during such a special time of the year is nothing short of magical.”
2025 Sing-Along Lyrics
WE NEED A LITTLE CHRISTMAS NOW
(Orchestra Intro)
Haul out the holly
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again
Fill up the stocking
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now
For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute
Candles in the window, carols at the spinet
Yes, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute
Hasn’t snowed a single flurry, but Santa dear we’re in a hurry
Climb down the chimney
Turn on the brightest string of lights I’ve ever seen
Slice up the fruit cake
It’s time we’ve hung some tinsel on the evergreen bough
For I’ve grown a little leaner, grown a little colder
Grown a little sadder, grown a little older
And I need a little angel sitting on my shoulder
Need a little Christmas now
For we need a little music, need a little laughter
Need a little singing ringing through the rafter
And we need a little snappy, happy ever after
We need a little Christmas now
IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR
(Orchestra Intro)
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
(Orchestra Interlude)
There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
DECK THE HALLS
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
’Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Troll the ancient yuletide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
See the blazing yule before us
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Strike the harp and join the chorus
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Follow me in merry measure
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
While I tell of yuletide treasure
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
(Orchestra Interlude)
Fast away the old year passes
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Sing we joyous, all together!
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Heedless of the wind and weather
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
JINGLE BELLS
Dashing through the snow
On a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go,
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring,
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
(Chorus)
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
A day or two ago,
I thought I’d take a ride,
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side;
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank,
And then we got upsot.
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
(Orchestra Interlude)
Now the ground is white
Go it while you’re young
Take the girls tonight
And sing this sleighing song
Just get a bob tailed bay
Two-forty as his speed
Hitch him to an open sleigh
And crack! you’ll take the lead
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh
HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS
(Orchestra Intro)
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on
Our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on
Our troubles will be miles away
Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years we
All will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon
The highest bough
And have yourself a merry little
Christmas now
(Orchestra Interlude)
Through the years we all
Will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon
The highest bough
And have yourself a merry little
Christmas now
GOD REST YE MERRY, GENTLEMEN
(Orchestra Intro)
God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan’s power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
In Bethlehem, in Israel,
This blessed Babe was born
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn
The which His Mother Mary
Did nothing take in scorn
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
(Orchestra Interlude)
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed angel came;
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same:
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
LET IT SNOW
(Intro)
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn’t show signs of stopping
And I’ve brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And my dear we’re still goodbye-ing
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
(Interlude)
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And my dear we’re still goodbye-ing
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose.
And if you e-ver saw it
You would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say,
"Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee,
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
You’ll go down in history!
You’ll go down in his-to-ry!"
FROSTY THE SNOWMAN
(Intro)
Frosty the Snowman, was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose, and two eyes made of coal.
Frosty the Snowman, is a fairy tale, they say.
He was made of snow, but the children know that he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found,
For when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around!
Oh, Frosty, the Snowman, was alive as he could be;
and the children say he could laugh and play,
just the same as you and me.
(Brief Interlude)
Frosty the Snowman, knew the sun was hot that day,
so he said, “Let’s run, and we’ll have some fun now, before I melt away.”
Down to the village, with a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there, all around the square,
sayin’, “Catch me if you can.”
He led them down the streets of town, right to the traffic cop;
and he only paused a moment, when he heard him holler, “Stop!”
Frosty, the Snowman, had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye, sayin’ “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again some day!”
Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump,
Look at Frosty go
Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump,
Over the hills of snow!
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
(Orchestra Transition)
You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He’s making a list
And checking it twice
Gonna find out
Who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!
Oh! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
(Orchestra Interlude)
You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
JOLLY OLD ST. NICHOLAS
(Orchestra Transition)
Jolly old St. Nicholas
Lean your ear this way!
Don’t you tell a single soul
What I’m going to say
Christmas Eve is coming soon
Now, you dear old man
Whisper what you’ll bring to me
Tell me if you can
When the clock is striking twelve
When I’m fast asleep
Down the chimney broad and black
With your pack you’ll creep
All the stockings you will find
Hanging in a row
Mine will be the shortest one
You’ll be sure to know
(Orchestra Interlude)
Jolly old St. Nicholas,
Lean your ear this way!
Don’t you tell a single soul
What I’m going to say
Christmas Eve is coming soon
Now, you dear old man
Whisper what you’ll bring to me
Tell me if you can
SILENT NIGHT
Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright.
'Round yon virgin, mother and Child.
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light.
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
JOY TO THE WORLD
(Orchestral intro)
Joy to the world! The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world! The Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy
