Larry H. Miller Real Estate, Daybreak Community Association and South Jordan Work Together on Water Conservation

Larry H. Miller Real Estate (LHM Real Estate), the master-planned community of Daybreak and the City of South Jordan are working together to make water conservation easier for Daybreak residents.

“South Jordan offers hundreds of dollars in rebates and water-saving assistance through our water conservation program,” said City Public Information Officer Rachael Van Cleave. “There are rebates available for waterwise plants, rock mulch, concrete and curbing to help any South Jordan City resident flip their park strip and reduce the amount of grass they have in their yards.”

Conserving water is key to maintaining a healthy, vibrant, prosperous Salt Lake Valley. From the very beginning, Daybreak’s forward-thinking approach to sustainability, water conservation and new urban design principles have set the standard for smart development in Utah.

“We are excited to partner with our residents and South Jordan City to increase water conservation and support our sustainability goals through waterwise landscaping. We encourage residents to take advantage of South Jordan’s rebate program and work with the Daybreak Community Association to select a waterwise template for their park strip,” said Brad Holmes, President of LHM Real Estate.

Daybreak residents can take advantage of South Jordan City’s rebate program by submitting a copy of their approved design review application that implements one of the waterwise park strip templates provided by the Daybreak Community Association. Residents can copy the templates or substitute plants based on availability. Additionally, the Association will waive the design application fee through the end of the year for applicable park strip flip applications. Residents may access approved waterwise park strip templates and begin the approval process at www.mydaybreak.com/community.

Cindy Spillane, Executive Director of the Daybreak Community Association said, “We want this to be an easy process for Daybreak residents. We have always supported water conservation and hope this collaborative effort will encourage more residents to participate.”

“We understand the importance of water conservation and we’re committed to working together to help our community continue to thrive on our journey to a more sustainable future,” said Van Cleave.
